Lightwieght 3 wheel car?

'Messershmidt had 2 at the front, also Morgan. These reportedly handle better than 2 at the back, which is better for load carrying. Big drawback with these things though is it's hard to avoid potholes.

4 wheel cyclecars better? 'Shmidt was derived from an powered invalid chair.

Ah, the wonderful Dymaxion car, 1933, from Buckminster Fuller: It could carry 11 people, and do 120 mph while getting 30 mpg. This was in 1933. Look it up. I'm sure that's the one. Bucky was a very good man. One of the best.

Vetter made a three wheel (two wheels up front) in the late 70's early 80's. (Same company make Slipstream Fairings for motorcycles.) I believe it was called a Probe.

Jim Bede made on based on his BD-5 kitplane. Don't know if it was really built or just "Photoshopped".

Harley (AMF) was also involved with a three wheeler but I don't know too many details on that one. I do know they flipped one at Firebird Raceway on the

1/4 mile drags. Was supposed to be a promotional event.

That's the one I recall, and have seen locally Rex in Fort Worth

I spent about an hour recently going over a T-Rex. It reminded me a bit of a Barris Custom, or a 60s kit car. It looks good from a distance, but when you get up close you start noticing the rough spots.

What I saw could be forgivable in a kit car, but in a $40.000 exotic I expected better. Of course part of that may just be sticker shock. I still find it hard to accept that a Chevy pickup costs that kind of money, much less a thrown together trike.

It is visually stunning from a distance, and perhaps the best way to deal with this vehicle is from a distance. I wouldn't want to actually own and drive one.
