Need Technical Service Bulletin 961013 Ford Aerostar

Hi, I am having a problem with the left rear tire rubbing against the body on a 1995 Ford Aerostar. It seems to be described in TSB 961013 , which was issued on May 96. Does anyone have a copy of this TSB?

Thanks, Mark (To email me, Remove the words "NOSPAM")

ISSUE: The left rear tire may rub on the inner wheelhouse in jounce position under heavy loads or during hard right turns. This may be caused by a body bracket that is mislocated to the right.

ACTION: Shift the axle assembly to the left by replacing the axle upper control arm bayonnet inner bushing with a shorter one and adding a spacer washer to maintain bushing preload. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

  1. Raise the vehicle and position two (2) jack stands under the rear axle.
  2. Remove the two (2) bolts and one (1) nut that attach the rear upper control arm to the body and axle. Refer to the 1993 Aerostar Service Manual, Page 04-02-10 for details.
  3. Slide the washer, bushing and spacer oft the end of the left side upper control arm.
  4. Inspect the bushing and spacer for wear and replace if necessary.
  5. Remove the upper control arm and replace the inner bushing with the new shorter bushing (F69Z-5K752-AA) using the same orientation as the previous bushing.
  6. Reinstall the upper control arm into the axle and body brackets.

  1. On the left side upper body mount, install the spacer, original bushing, additional "spacer" washer (F69Z-5A349-AA), original washer and nut in that order. Torque nut to 103 +/-15.5 N.m (76 +/-11.4 lb-ft). Refer to Figure 1.

  1. Make sure the spacer is installed properly and that the added "spacer" washer is centered on the shaft and not hung up on bayonnet shoulder.
  2. Reassemble the vehicle and torque all bolts and nuts to the specifications listed in the 1993 Aerostar Service Manual, Section
