I just put brake shoes on my '67 Chevy pickup. The brake shoes were $12 per set plus $6.50 core charge (NAPA) so that is not true with all rebuilders....

don't even want the cores back anymore. As the gentleman stated above > me here, even shoes for old cars are still available today. Some later > model Fords with rear drums are using shoes that I haven't seen for > awhile but reemerged after years in limbo. Good luck.
