I finally got a chance to get out and work on this one. You must remove all the restraining bolts, from inside the vehicle and outside,and then you must disconnect all the controls, hoses, etc.
Then , you have to remove the sheetmetal which holds the hood latch mechanism, and then remove the radiator..
After the radiator is gone, disconnect the condensor and pull it forward. Then, finally, the evaporator core case will slip out.
The book is fine...experience is primo.
