1995 Toyota Camry Headlights

Was just wondering, i've notice my headlights don't work very well on my 1995 Toyota Camry and there not very bright for highway driving or city driving and was wondering if I were to get the lights replaced would they shine farther and brighter?

So I should get some halogens put in then?

Several years ago, I replaced the bulbs in my '92 Camry and it made a noticeable difference and I saw similar improvements in my daughter's '97 Corolla. Buy clear bulbs as they provide more light, but they don't look as "cool" as tinted bulbs.

Your Camry is equipped with halogen bulbs.

I wasn't sure if I should replace the bulbs or not, because I heard that it wasn't really worth it as 1995 Toyota Camry and other vehicles from that time because they have shotty headlights apparently but the rest of the car is great.

The only other problem is that my Air Bag Controller apparently in the center console has pretty much bit the dust so my air bags are inoperable because of the light on the dash. But i'm not in the mood to spend $621 for air bags, I've driven cars without air bags before and its only a 4% increase in the chance of surviving a crash with them so I can gamble that.

They must be dirty or need alignment. Or maybe the previous owner somehow used the wrong bulbs.

BTW: I sure hope they outlaw those 'blue' headlights before to long. There a hazard on the road and bound to cause accidents.

They do not seem like they are to powerful in candle power but the "color temperature" is so harsh it blinds on coming traffic big time.

I flat out will not let a car with those headlights drive behind me. Even if I have to do something erratic its better than the Road Rage feelings thy inspire.

I have a feeling there old, the car has been owned by my grandma so I dunno when the last time she changed em. I'm not very mechanically enclined so i'll have to get a mechanic to do the switch for me though. :-/
