2000 Avalon HIDS. help

hi, i am interested in retrofitting some D2S 4200k with some projectors for my headlamp and foglights.

does anyone know if the alternator can handle 4 ballasts? it only draws 35W each. im not sure if high voltage effects the ecu or not.

Does anyone know if my indicator light will come on if i replace the taillamp bulbs with LEDs bulbs? this is lower voltage bulb, i dunno if the system will flash the light thinkin that the taillamps are out since i am going to run lower voltage bulbs.

The weak point will be the chassis wiring for the headlights - they use as small a wire as they can, so you can't raise the overall wattage draw by much. But nothing says that you can't install a relay to control the power to a second set of lights, with a separate fused power supply from the battery...

LED lamps still take 12V in to operate, but the *wattage* or current draw of the power used is lower. And if you have the lamp monitoring system, it will drive it nuts thinking there are burned-out lamps because they are drawing less current. The question is whether the monitor can be adjusted, or if you have to disconnect the system.

You could add resistors to bring the load up, but that negates the power savings of the LED lamp modules.
