Screw the 'religious asylum'. Islamabad has only shown that these people

*ARE* keeping weapons in the mosques. Time to kick out the stops, go into the mosques and clear out the weapons.

I bet the IEDs would be cut by 75% if they did this.

What a unique idea. The terrorists' best propaganda weapon is their argument that we are waging a war on Islam. So, Tancredo suggests we prove the terrorists right and raise their credibility with the entire Muslim world.

It'll be a popular idea with impotent old men who like to shoot their mouths off.

You damn right we're waging a war against Islam. Particularly the Al Qaeda (read that "Wahabi") version of it.

If they want a fight on their terms, we give it to them.

Screw going into the mosques. Just bomb the shit out of them until they are buried.

I had a boss that 25 years ago said the only good sand pounder is a dead one. I'm starting to agree with him. Actually he used a word in conjunction with sand that I don't dare repeat in this newsgroup. They are friends with the Clintons and have been for 25 years.

Nuke 'em till they glow, shoot 'em when they show. Or we could adopt the policy we used on the Muslim extremists in the Phillipines 100 years ago. We still ought to rub pig fat on all our bombs and bullets. These people do not understand us trying to be 'nice'. The only way to stop them is to make them take a permanent dirt nap. That's how pig-headed stupid these people are. They will keep trying to kill us until the last one of them has assumed room temperature. They've been programmed to hate Israel and the United States just like the LIEberals like JoeNoBedroom and JoeBesser have been.

This will prove it and boost their credibility.

If you recall, about six months ago, the British broke up a plot, using a tip from Pakistan. Why did they get that tip? Because there is a distinction between Muslims and Islamic terrorists. Tancredo proposes to erase that distinction and propel all Muslims into the arms of the Islamic terrorists.

Immediately after the attak on the WTC, much of the Muslim world endorsed our invasion of Afghanistan, our attack on the Taliban and our pursuit of bin Laden. Al-Qaeda called it a War on Islam and allmost no one believed them. However, with the invasion of Iraq, suddenly it looked like the terrorists might be right; that this is a war on Islam. Tancredo proposes to erase all doubt.

It's a bad idea to make more enemies. I'll bet Tancredo is just full of bad ideas. I think it's difficult to be a worse President than Bush 43 but it's not impossible. Elect Tancredo and find out.

Only among the weak-minded.

Can you say, "token event"?

I've watched, read, and listened to just about every Muslim response to major terrorist events. If you think there are moderates among them, you have some reading to do. Start with CAIR, and its head. Move on to some reading such as the book I suggested to Joe. Find out what "dhimmi" were historically, then have a look at what the modern version means to so-called "moderates".

Here's a nice quote to get you started, from the head of CAIR, a self-proclaimed Muslim moderate, Omar Ahmad:

"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth."

This from the man whom our media fall over backwards to portray as a voice of reason to combat hatred of so-called moderates.

Read some history about Islam, not some sanitized Time magazine condensation. Find out exactly what it means to be Muslim, and what all members of the entire spectrum have in common. Then we'll talk.

That "Shia Revival" book suggests otherwise, at least in Iran.

Joe, the context was Sunni. Tancredo's suggested targets are in Sunni areas, and hence particularly sacred to Sunni.

But, to play on your statement, let's use the media's figures on radical Muslims.

One billion in the world claim to be Muslim, at a minimum. The media claim that only one percent are radical, and want to kill anything that moves and isn't Muslim.

One million radicals, at a minimum. I'd bet a consideral sum of money that one percent is an extremely low estimate. One-third of our population. One in three people in America represent the number of radicals willing to do us in.

I have a couple of GBU-12s at work that would suit the job just fine.

IOW someone finally got drunk or high enough.

It would be far better to privately threaten - no, promise - nuclear anihilation against Saudi Arabia, Iran, and, if its President is overthrown by religious radicals, Pakistan. Then those countries will unleash their internal security forces against the radicals. OTOH bombing just mosques will simply radicalize the typical Muslim.

And a good deal of them had parties and handed out candy to kids in the street, including some of our 'allies' (of course, in a those cases, the government is US friendly, while the largely Muslim populace is not...)

Yes you are correct. It is always better to have allies than enemies.

It is unfortunate that they hate us so badly, but they do. And I agree it is wrong to lump *all* Muslims together (wait...did *I* just say that...?)

But I have said this before, and it is true. If the Islamists had their way, they would eradicate the US from the face of the Earth, Then the Canadians...then the British...the French...the Germans...the Russians...etc, etc, until all that is left is Muslims. Then, they would turn on the 'less religious' factions of Islam, etc etc until all that's left is basically one tribe of radical Islamists that all believe the same thing.

Of course, that's in a 'perfect' Muslim world...

HEy, witfal, there *are* some peace-loving Muslims....

but they are few and far between.

I had forgotten about that.

Ever tell you about the time I was handing out cheese sandwiches to Muslims and touched the bacon? ;)

Your last sentence says it all.

But I repeat, CAIR is always looked at by the media as a moderate group, when they're anything but.
