Lentz promoted to president of Toyota's U.S. sales arm Dian Ogilvie named to senior post at Toyota North America
Leslie J. Allen Automotive News November 6, 2007 - 9:44 am ET Toyota Motor Corp. today promoted Jim Lentz to president of its U.S. sales operation.
Lentz had been executive vice president of Toyota Motor Sales USA, the Japanese automaker's U.S. sales, marketing, distribution and customer service arm for Toyota, Lexus and Scion.
"Jim Lentz is especially well qualified to lead TMS into the future as it marks 50 years in America," Toyota Chairman Yuki Funo said in a prepared statement. "His experience spans all major operational areas and he has an outstanding sense of what our customers, dealers and associates expect from Toyota."
Lentz, 52, joined Toyota in 1982.
Toyota also named Dian Ogilvie, 64, senior vice president and secretary of Toyota Motor North America. She had been senior vice president of Toyota Motor Sales, as well as general counsel and chief environmental officer.
