OT - Bush's buddy is going to jail

Abolutely right. But like I said, Bush and Kenney-Boy were great buddies before the collapse.

Ah yes, but greed and fraud are fostered by a loose and undisciplined clintoon administration who failed to properly oversee, like don't worry about it.

As far as Bush and Kenney being good buddies, I've read otherwise.

Speaking of dumb-asses where has old tomh been lately?

That's not entirely the whole answer. The rules existed but were not enforced by a hands off administration, like lets just let them free-wheel and see what happens. Bad leadership from the clintoon administration.

Oh look, a conservative complaining that a Democrat didn't put enough controls and regulations on big business. Dbu puts his foot in his mouth yet again.

Guilt by association won't wash either, which has been my point all along.

Isn't that so like some conservatives to claim that liberals are anti-capitalist. How many times have we seen this?

Liberals are pro-capitalism.

Unfortunatley, too many so-called "conservatives" tend to be anti-capitalist by supporting every _Corporate Welfare_ program they can think of. A recent study concluded that the amount of corporate welfare dwarfs by several times the amount received by struggling folks.

Liberals are pro-capitalist. I only wish the Republicans were the same. If only the Republicans would try to learn from smarter Libertarians, but the Repubs just don't want to hear the "L" word.

How can that be when the democrats favor re-distribution of wealth.

Umm, I would say this.

The Libertarian Party represents the true conservatives in America today. The Republican Party only represents Corporate Socialists, who aren't very different from their Soviet brothers three decades ago.

Just ask the old Chrysler apparatniks. Corporate Socialists had to bail out Chrysler from bankruptcy a couple decades ago, and look where those Corporate Socialists have led us: Now we have two domestic automakers, GM and Ford, on the verge of bankruptcy instead of one. This happened in part because of the unnatural glut of vehicles 3 domestic majors have been producing over the past couple decades when only 2 domestics deserved to be making those vehicles (according to the rules of Capitalism).

The Corporate Socialists of the Republican Party are leading our country into ruin. Vote Libertarian if you're a Conservative. Libertarians represent your ideals, not Republicans.

Chrysler was bailed out during Carter's Administration. Democrats are the true Socialists -- either corporate or personal.

You can't enforce rules without money in the budget for the SEC. And with the new laws, stockholders ability to sue are nil.

Actually the bail out cost the government zero.

Holding stocks is a risk, if a holder of stock does not understand, they should get out of the stock market and or move their 401s into money market or gov bonds, T-notes ect. When it comes to my money I don't depend on anyone or anybody to watch out for my investments, including the U.S. government SEC, I watch out for myself.

I hold some stock, but I am diversified. I don't invest all in one place, that is foolish.

We've even seen how the Corporate Socialists--urr, Republicans--will even start a war if they think it will benefit Big Oil.

Bush and Ditz Cheney aren't conservatives; they're Corporate Socialists, apparatniks for Big Oil.

Bush and Ditz Cheney want socialism for Exxon, Conoco, and Chevron, and

Capitalism for everyone else.
