And the downside is? ;)

I have been saying for *YEARS* that the Profit motive for healthcare in this country is *WRONG* and Hospitals should go back to being 'break-even' types of businesses. With the 'Managed Health Care' (Mangled Health Care?)system we have now, what's best for the patient is ovten thrown over for What's Best For the Bottom Line.

But I *STILL* won't view anything made by Michael Moore...

Also, the people that actually do the 'work', the Doctors, are managed as well, and have to overload on patients (like a 'quota' system) to make the kind of money they were making before the Beancounters took over the Healthcare system.

My opinions are similar to yours, Hachi. There ARE many problems, both in the U.S. AND the Canadian health care systems, without doubt. However, Moore's only motivations for his rants are to: 1. harangue the administration and 2. make money doing it.

1) harangue: Nothing's wrong with that. It's one of the risks of being the president. 2) money: Don't you worship capitalism, or are you a traitor?

Agreed. It's to be expected.

"A liberal is someone who feels a great debt to his fellow man, which he proposes to pay off with your money." - Unknown

I think Sarah Jessica Parker was the best example of this mind set. She was very upset at the idea that her mother had no health insurance, and said something along the lines of, "What is she going to do?"

Somehow paying for her mother's care out of her millions was a foreign concept to her.

I don't know how you feel about SJP's attitude, but it personifies a strange mental process.

On another note: chapter one alone goes far in explaining what a horrible mess we've created in Iraq. I see no easy solution to getting us out of there.

I'm beginning to think that President Cheney's goal was to make sure we could never leave Iraq. Time will tell, and the story will not be simple.

Your messages are lost because of the hate and bias you spew.

There's no hate and bias in what I said. Just pure logic.

Your message is lost because of the bias (personal) that you put into it, there is no President Cheney, there is no desire to stay in Iraq, and that you constantly add those inflections causes many people to just ignore your message.

"Inflections"? Whatever.

You're hilarious. You think GWB is running the show.

It doesn't matter what I think, what matters is how one presents a message that they appear to want others to follow/read - your messages are lost on the intelligent people because we don't read hype and sniping - your messages are filled with hate and bias.

Nobody is unbiased. Not even you.

But if you present your message without the "Spew" or Mantra you are more likely to get people to listen.

I believe Cheney calls all the shots. You don't, and I'm sure you don't find some of his behavior to be a bit spooky. That's that. I have no interest in convincing you. I can't make anyone read more and learn.

You sure about that?

You sure about that?

....WE'VE created? I didn't create it, and I don't think you did either. One bunch of cretins in Washington DC created it, and two of them are still sitting at the same desks they had in March 2003. (The others have gone on to the World Bank -Wolfowitz - and one has gone to oblivion - Rumsfeld - and one has been ashamed to show his face much in public - Powell.) But we didn't create it.

I see no easy solution to getting us out of there.

Well, the government could buy 150,000 airplane tickets (one way to the US.) ...and the sooner, the better.

Semantics. I'm sure you realize that I meant "The Government", i.e. ours.

As the war is being fought now, I couldn't agree more.

You apparently prefer we wait till the car bombs go off in you home town, before we start fighting all the radical Islamic nuts, like John Edwards and the rest of the lefty kooks. Thank goodness for the rest of us he will never be president and nobody listens to your stupid rants. LOL
