(OT:) Speaking of Pardons...

Hilary! I'll make a deal with you! I'll get all my friends to vote for you (well, they probably are, anyway...) and when you get elected, you pardon me, expunge my record, etc, and then get me a job in Japan for whatever length term you get.

I'd rather go to a country that gives you life for drunk driving than spend another MINUTE under an administration *YOU* have anything to do with...

Who was pardoned?

Not Libby. His conviction still stands. He was only releived of a prison sentence which was a good decision by GWB. For Libby to spend 30 months in jail would not serve any useful purpose to the public, a waste of tax dollars and removing a decent person from society.

Only those from the vengeance party would like him to sit in jail.

Did Clinton serve any jail time when he was convicted of perjury?

Libby was commuted. Her husband pardoned a LOT of people in his last few days. Keep up!

Gee, I don't think so...

I never said I hated her.

Matter of fact, if you look through my posts for the last month, you'll find I think she's a hottie.

But I don't want her (them) for President again...

Decent people don't like to investigators or cover up for corrupt bosses who put our nation's spies at unnecessary risk.

Libby hasn't received a pardon yet because if pardoned he can be forced to testify in further investigations and can't hide behind the

5th amendment. IOW GW Bush and Cheney practiced legal CYA by commuting the sentence rather than providing a pardon.

Sorry. "I'd rather go ...than spend another MINUTE ..." That's irrational hate. I suggest you do a little careful self-analysis. Maybe get some professional help.

Scott in Florida

In Scott's small brain, the commuting of Libby's sentence is justified because of Clinton. People like Scott, or most party loyalists, could care less about right or wrong, or whats good for America, he, like the rest of the partisan politics that rule they day, only care about what's good for a particular politician. They are outraged by Clinton lying about his sex life to congress, but have no problem with Libby lying about exposing a CIA operative. Scott's an idiot, so his views are expected, but it's pretty sad that so many people are so willing to accept corruption if it benefits the party or feel it's justified because the opposing party had done something corrupt.

Scott. Where was the outrage from these guys when Clinton lied in a court of law, not simply a grand jury investigation where no law was discovered to have been broken, yet was not given a jail sentence?

Clinton was fined, lost his license to practice law as did Libby, but Clinton was not given two years probations as was Libby. Best to ignore the lefty kooks on this one ;)

Not so, you have your fact wrong, again. Clinton lied, in a court of law in a civil case in Arkansas and was disbarred by the court, not to Congress.

Libby was accused of lying to a grand Jury that did not indict anybody, since she was not a covert agent when her name was released by the guy in the DOS, not the White House.

His sentance still stands, and I'm sure he's been placed on Probation.

Seems to me someone else once committed perjury before a Grand Jury and didn't even get Probation.

Why is that?

How is that *hate*?

I just don't like incompetance, and Liberal Incompetance is even worse then W.

What facts do I have wrong? As usual you're making shit up in you're head. Also what part of "convicted" don't you understand. But then I'm not even trying to defend Clinton, it's your small brain that seems to need to do this in order to justify Bush and Company's corrupt behavior.

Of course Clinton was never actually "CONVICTED" a small point you seem to have left out. The other point the mindless right can't seem to comprehend, is that Clinton never committed a crime in the first place, unlike leaking CIA secrets. Seems they are more concerned with justifying current corrupt behavior, than on doing the right thing. Funny how the moral police aren't so moral when one of there own are involved.

Since when is Perjury *not* a crime?

Lying in a court of law is lying in a court of law.

Same thing could be said for Billy. Only more so.

Likewise...
