(OT:) What is change (other than a grossly over-used Buzzword?)

The latest political Buzzword: Change. Obama uses it (to his credit, he used it first.) Hillary stole it and utters it every time someone sticks a mic in her face (HINT: Listen for the word "Ready", also. That's her 'motto', and she tries to wedge it into every soundbite she gets).

What *KIND* of change? With Obama, it's hard to say, since we really don't know a lot about him, do we?

With Clinton? The only kind of change we'll get is Deadlock from one side of the aisle to the other. There won't be 'change', it will just be Politics as Usual, just like in 1992, but with the First Mate at the helm instead. Look for the same Cabinet/appointments, even. Same old wine, brand new bottle. She may be a woman, but she's still a member of the Good Old Boys Club, and perhaps an even bigger puppet than Bush.

REALLY want change? Take a GOOD HARD look at McCain! He plays both sides of the aisle; he knows how to form alliances as well as avoid them when needed, and he seems to know when to listen to the Republicans and when to listen to the Democrats.

Yeah, I believe if voters are really looking for change from the Same Old Same Old, you need to look at McCain.

I have lived in Arizona for over 40 years. I have seen McCains work [ or lack of it for 20 some years} I know he is a former P.O.W and all but that does'nt give him a ticket to the white house. He forgot who he works for long ago, he needs to retire and disappear. My opinion of course. Scott

Worst of all, if McCain becomes President he'll make Joe "America's Dumbest Sheriff" Arpaio the FBI director and Cindy McCain the head of the Drug Enforcement Agency*.

John McCain is overrated a lot, but he's actually the best the Republican party has running this year. :(

*Cindy McCain was a drug addict and stole drugs and a prescription pad from a health clinic for the poor, where she was a volunteer.

That's true. No other politician in the past 10,000 years, including those running for their tenth term, has ever called for change.

Here in McCain's home state, we know better. He'll sell out to his advantage, just as he did during the last several years, when he pretended to be a right wing kook to win the appeal of GW Bush's supporters. At least he was just pretending.

If you want real change, drive out the radical far right from the Republican party so our nation can move forward again. It also wouldn't hurt to kick out the wimpy Democrats who've practiced appeasement with them.

McCain is a liberal. As I informed dbu earlier all you need to know about him is this: McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy.
