OT: Why I secretly hope a Liberal Wins in 2008

without the tech boom, Bill Clinton would have been considered one of the worst Presidents in history. If any President ever landed on luck then it was Clinton. Any President could have had a decent economy under his belt during that era. With that said, it toppled like a deck of cards as he walked out of office and we knew it was starting to go to sh_t...

Had Gore won in 2000 (and I mean really won... you will recall Gore lost and

4 years later Democrats were desperate for Ohio to give them enough electoral votes despite losing by 3 million votes) then the Democrats would be the stinkiest bunch in the world.

So, I secretly hope a Democrat wins. I hope they get in office and see that its not as easy as Clinton had it and that they will resemble Jimmy Carter's pitiful Presidency more than anything.

This country needs to hit rock bottom before it realizes socialist agendas are not good for it. Let them in... Let them have the reigns. Let them run up record taxes and watch companies leave more so than they are right now for a tax friendly middle east...

We already hit rock bottom in 1980-81, remember? The Carter Years. Taxes high, interest rates higher. I couldn't BUY a job during most of the Carter years.

But the stupid liberals who don't remember what it was like when Carter was President want to repeat history. And they think Kommerade Klinton was a GREAT President.

I'd go friggin' NUTZ!

I'd rather have a job I like than to sit home all the time.

Although, if I could afford a lift...
