Premarket crude up 1.64 to 64.57

Perhaps an incentive to walk, ride a bike or public transportation.

That, and the other excuse is "people are driving more because of daylight savings time". Depending on who is saying that, the reasoning is a bit odd.

People are up later because the daylight time shift, it is still light out at 7 PM now, later in the summer it will still be light at 9 PM, hence people will be joy riding more.

Because of tensions due to Iran. Might get interesting, real interesting.

Joy riding? What's that?

Oh, wait a minute...I do recall my parents taking so-called Sunday drives when I was in short pants about seven decades back. I wonder whether anyone still takes 'joy rides', with the price of gas what it is. In California now, our gas prices are higher than Hawaii's ! Our oil refinery's are 'off line' at the moment, meaning that the oil bosses want bigger yachts.

Joy riding means taking unnecessary trips.

You have more to worry about with your california politicians than big oil bosses. I see SanFrancisco banned plastic bags. What if you're caught with one, jail? LOL.

You'll find your gas prices rising as more and more local governments get on the global warming bandwagon. They'll find it an easy way to increase taxes without the political liability. They will just blame earth, LOL. I was stationed at Castle AFB for a time in the sixties. It's closed now. Located near Merced in the San Joaquin valley area. Last time I was out near there was a trip we made to Tahoe, lovely. Wouldn't mind living there, but it would be on the Nevada side. I love the smell of those pine trees.

Anyway, Cheers, I hope your taxes don't get up too high.

How long did it take for the AF to train you to vacuum clean the interior of a jet, or did they limit you to paper towels and windex, for your own safety?

I won't tell you what I did except that I never cleaned aircraft, inside or outside, not to say that isn't honorable and necessary work, but the way you put it makes me wonder about you. Do you look down upon someone who does manual labor like scrubbing floors or washing windows?

I don't think I caught what branch of service you were a member of, Army was it?

I honor people who do that kind of work. But not you. Your lack of curiosity and intelligence belies your claims to have done anything important. It's not possible.

Nope, and that question is, as always, a lame attempt to obscure the actual subject of the conversation.

That's ok, I know the answer. You worked for your daddy, got married, had a kid, she couldn't stand your arrogance, domineering personality and lack of warmth, so she told you to take a hike. Now you like to sit on the NG and take out your frustrations on anybody who don't agree with your personal views.

Cheers bastard and have a nice day :)

Never forget that you said you do not read books. Therefore, my comments are

100% accurate.

Frankly I wonder what the Iron Lady would do in a situation like this? Or Ronald Reagan?

And Royal Dutch Hell is up to 2.75 a gallon. No one else jumped their price

20 cents this time.

I think you nailed it.

Oh, no. The point wasn't missed. I have been trying to point out how tension in the Middle East control the price more than anything else.

And also notice the price at the pump increased immediately on the announcement.

It's interesting how the *threat* of weather damage doesn't always affect the price of orange juice. This illustrates a distinct difference in the ethics of two different businesses.

The big factor in crude price now is the "risk" premium. If Iran were to interfere with crude shipments through the Stait of Hormuz the price of crude could go to over 100 bucks/barrel.
