question on 2004 Sequoia lights

Two questions come to mind after comparing my 2004 Sequoia to wife's T&C van. First, the Toyota Sequoia does not light up when door is opened at the front passenger side. Is there ever any light exist over there?

Second, one of the universal garage door opener button does not have the light on. There are three buttons for garage door, they are labeled as one dot, two dots and three dots from left to right. The one with three dots is not visible in the dark. How can I replace the light bulb behind it?

Thanks first for your tips

The dome light between the front and middle seats should illuminate whenever any of the front 4 doors is opened. If it does not come on for just 1 door, the switch is probably stuck. Look for a black rubber button on the door jamb under the striker. Carefully peel back the rubber, pop the plunger underneath the rubber boot out with your fingernail or a small screwdriver, and lube the plunger switch WD-40 and replace the rubber. If you don't have WD-40, use a light lube, not lithium grease.

Open up the sunglass holder and look up in the opening for 2 screws and see if the upper console drops down. If it doesn't and the end of the console closest to the windshield doesn't give at all, then try popping out the black temp/direction display out with a small screwdriver and see if there are more screws holding the console up.
