1996 cabin filter ?

Hi. We have a 1996 Camry V-6 LE (US) and wondered about cleaning the air filter to the passenger cab area. Those are the ones that filter the dusty dirt roads outside air. I want to know where it (they?) is located and what's the procedure? Thanks. Jack

What did Toyota use to screen the incoming air? Where is the inlet(s) ..how can I clean it?

Like ALL motor vehicles prior to cabin filter inclusion, ... NOTHING. At best, if the car had A/C, the wet surface of the evaporator would catch a little bit of the dust coming through.

HOW DID WE EVER SURVIVE without cabin air filters? !! LOL

Air is inducted via the grill along the base of the windshield.

Thanks, Philip. I asked because the Haynes manual I have made mention of it as part of regular maintenance, but had no actual directions. And I thought it was a good idea as it is allergy season here. Jack
