2000 Camry - Spoiler brake light

My wife's 2000 Camry has a spoiler which I _think_ was installed at the distributor (not at the dealer, and not aftermarket) so it's probably a Toyota OEM part.

There is a high-mounted brake light bar in the spoiler consisting of about

40 led's. The majority of these are now dark. My question is: are these led's individually replaceable? Are they small bulbs, or will I have to replace the light bar as an assembly (I hope not, since I have a bad heart, and when I hear what Toyota wants for the light bar, I'll probably have the big one )

Thanks,

Henry

If it is anything like other car brands, the entire lightbar is a unit. Yes, they are pricey. You could try a junkyard. And since it has to replaced anyway, you could remove it, give it a shake and see if that helps. Check the soldering. Could be that some water got in there and corroded the solder joints. LEDs are usually soldered into a circuit board or a strip. Technically they are not bulbs. Good luck. Bob
