97 Camry, flasher??

Had daughter's hail damage fixed over Christmas break. Hood, and trunk lid replaced. She told me last night the right turn signal works about twice the speed of the left.

Coincidence and bad flasher, or something in the wiring upon repair?

What would your guesses be? Thanks Mark

Thank you!

Turned out it was just loose.

I have had this problem on my mother's 1999 Camry. You may want to put some di-electric grease on the contacts. This will help prevent oxidation and keep a good connection. This drove me nuts until I talked to a Toyota tech at Conklin Cars in Salina, Kansas.

Had the same problem with my 99 Camry two months ago. As you said a Toyota Tech said it is common on both front turn signal sockets. Bulb was fine and flashing double-speed but dim - and contact was poor to the socket.

The problem is that center conductor blade is too thin and eventually looses its contact spring power against the bulb. You just have to pull the conductor up and twist it a bit to make better contact against the bulb.
