10mm should be fine. I use an adapter to 1/2" drive to make it easier to remove. Best to use a new aluminum gasket each time. If you drain overnight, you'll remove almost an extra quart. Measure the amount drained as a guide to re filling. Check hot after minimum 10 miles.

will a 3/8 inch allaen wrench fit ?
