brand preference and cost of replacing struts on a 2000?

i think it's about time - i'm at 110k. anyone have a line on what brand is preferred?

also, what incidentals should i expect to encounter in replacing the struts in a vehicle of this age/mileage. i'm thinking springs, but are there any other parts i can count on?

what's a ballpark figure for the total cost with labor?

thanks for any help. i just want to have a good idea of what to expect before calling around for prices.

KYB. If you want a bit of a stiffer ride (noticably stiffer) and a little better handling, these are good. Competitively priced and a lifetime warranty.
