Burnt out lamp - indicator light

Has anyone had the indicator light go on showing that the a light is burned out and yet all the lights/signals seem to be working fine?...if so, did you have to take it back in for a re-set?...thanks in advance

If all the rear lights are working - the warning light will sometimes come on a few days before a light will stop working (don't know how - just that it does it sometimes).

Check the base of the bulbs - the round 'bumps' sometimes get worn down with rubbing/age thus leading to an intermittent or poor connection.

If that is not the case - and especially if this problem occurred after a rain - try cleaning each bulb socket and bulb base with some sandpaper & put a little dielectric grease on each socket. Mine was constantly doing this after a rain and the dielectric grease cured it.

Have you tried removing the fuse or the battery lead. It may be worth a try first. Perhaps something is confused. Something else, check that the globes are the correct ratings. Is the indicator light on all the time, does it come on in drive or reverse only, does it come on when you brake?
