camry 2007

I went yesterday to the Toyota dealer at Anaheim,CA to test drive the Prius (just for the heck of it) and to my surprise they already have 10 brand spanking new Camry's 2007 ready for sale! I test drove a LE 4 cyl with 5 speed automatic transmission, it's a nice car, it has a smaller trunk than my 2005 but it's a lot bigger than the Prius. Not a bad car for $19300 + tax & lic (using the fleet pricing). I also saw the XLE with 3.5L V6 and 6 Speed automatic transmission but at $28,000 is way to expensive.... They told me that the LE v6 is going to take more days to get. Oh, the steel rims on the LE are bigger than the 2003-2005 models. Good job Toyota!.

The sticker price dropped for the 07. With 750 rebate it should be about $1000 cheaper than 06.

I wonder what the xle would be if you called the fleet gal at Longo or Carson? they can keep the navigation system, but the rest makes it a pretty nice car for that price range.

Our local Toyota dealer has an ad starting 06 Camrys at 16,588. Cheaper than a 06 Civic. But, I suspect the price is not the real price. According to Edmunds, a typical Camry LE runs around $21,000

I think it may be, its probably not the LE but the standard model, and also they are trying to dump the 06's, my dealer just got a pile of

07's on his lot, it is a nicer looking car inside and out, although there are always a few people that like the old style, I think this new Camry looks good immediately when you first see it (it doesn't have to grow on you as they say) so they are going to have to drop the 06 prices to move them.

Yeah, many advertised are around the mid 16K. Looks like every dealer's got them, and many of them everyday. So I agree that Toyota is trying to dump the 06 Camrys.

This may be a good time to pick up an 06. The 06 is proven after the years and it's a good deal. Because one guy posted that a Toyota rep told him the new transmission lost 20% of the parts -- to reduce cost and weight I guess. At this rate when you ask a Camry in several years they'll hand you a bike ;)

Give the 07 at least a year of workout and see what TSBs show up.
