camry 90 idle speed

Hi there,

My camry used to stall in rainy (humid) days so I changed the ignition coil, and did a minor tune-up and that fixed that problem but I think the ignition timing or the idle speed got messed up when i took the distributor out. The car runs fine but the tachometer gets stucked at 2000 RPM when i'm slowing down and I need to press the gas really fast so that it can reach the idle speed again.

Is the ignition timing the problem or could be the fuel or exhaust systems?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Alex
