Does Toyota use the OBD ll diagnostic trouble codes? The check engine light of my '99 Camry was on. The dealer said that the problem is with the emission sensor.
What sensor would it be?

OBDII was instituted in 1995 +/- a year, regardless of brand. There is no such specific thing as an "emission sensor".... rather there are many along with a batch of actuators. He gave you a "dumb dumb" answer. The car's computer needs to be "read" and failure code(s) recorded and problem(s) corrected.
