Floor Mats

Has anyone out there found custom made floor mats for the 2002 Camry at a reasonable price? Trying to find some with the two small hooks that hold them in place. Non-custom mats from an auto parts store would cover the trunk release handle and fuel door handle. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Did they not come with the car? They were in my LE when it was delivered, and I believe it was in the specs!

I received floor mats with my 2002 Camry LE V6. I added a set of pant saver car mats for the front and back to protect the carpet and area against dirt, snow, salt, etc.

I Also spray the carpeted areas with scotchguard to prevent excessive dirt build up.

I'm not familiar with the term "pant saver car mats." Can you please describe them? Where can I purchase them?

Pant Saver car mats are basically heavy rubber car mats that are dual sided. I use the term heavy since the front mats weigh about 2 to 3 lbs each. One side is good for winter since it can hold up to 32 oz of water without having it spill onto the carpet. This is ideal for wet snow, slush, etc. The other side is more shallow and ideal for the summer weather. I use the winter side all year round for the additional margin of protection and the thicker side gives more cushioning.

I have been using these mats for about 10 years on various cars. I bought 3 sets in different colors and after 10 years, the mats look practically new. I tend to clean them every few months by soaking them in a laundryroom sink with Tide detergent.

These mats are sold at the local Wal Mart and Zellers here in Canada.

Just a note of thanks to all who responded with their suggestions regarding the floor mats in my 2002 Camry. I am already acting on several of them.
