Considering how stupid people in California are, I would not be surprised if someone bought it for that much.

I mean, after all, how stupid are people if they allow Arnold Schwartzenegger to become governor, only in California.

Oh and Phillip "chipstate" lives there, so my opinion is solidified.

The "greedy" socialists who know what better to do with your money than you do (socialist Democrats) have been in charge of state spending by catering to those who crave government handouts. That is undeniable.

But speaking of stupid, we older folks voted for Proposition 13 back in the late '70's that for some reason ... just didn't catch on anywhere else. Too bad when I see what property taxes my newer neighbors pay. So who is without foresight and "stupid?"

Mc Clintock is the man I would put in the governorship. But, his money supply and name recognition are greatly overshawdowed by Schwarzenegger. With Arnold, I still get about 70% of what I want in a governor so that's where my vote is going. Only the Socialist Democrats are complaining about 'democracy lost." Democracy was lost when the socialists monopolized the California State Legislature with fiscal incompetence."

It's way past time to toss out the socialists and to start fixing the mess left behind.

Provided it runs well, checks out fine mechanically, gives good mileage, has a clean record (i.e. no accidents, etc.) it's worth about $1500-$2000.

If taken care of properly, Camrys run forever .. for someone who cannot afford new cars (plus registration and insurance every year), I think it's a great value.

Don't you know it!

My 1988 Camry just passed its 300,000 mile mark about a month ago. Still runs like a champ, with some minor issues like a tendency to overheat while creeping along in stop/go traffic with the A/C running.

I'd like to buy one of those Solara convertibles someday if it's similar enough to a Camry as I've heard. I'm just afraid that whoever gets my car won't treat it with the respect it has earned.
