How to install CD player in CAMRY-98

I just bought a sony CDX-R3300 mp3 CAR CD player from best buy. Bestbuy wants about $90 for installtion. Considering the cost of the player ($99), I wanted to install the player myself. Please provide any helpful sugesstion. I haven't done anything like this in the past. My car has a factory installed FM/Tape player with an optional space below it to install another player.

I know it sounds like a lot of money, but if you have never done it yourself and you don't have the special tools required to pry open the dash, then it is worth it. The installation costs includes the cost of the conversion harness that you would need to purchase separately. If you mess up any parts on the dash or electrical system, it would cost you a lot more than $100 to fix it. Many places will re-install your OEM receiver for free if you plan to sell the car (not sure about BestBuy).

BestBuy is good about taking refunds, so you could look around and see if you can find a better deal for receiver with installation.

WORST BUY installs for free but you get taken, they damage your car they cut wires, mis-wire, etc, they are a danger

so Take that POS back to them

buy a stereo from a LOCAL stereo shop Install should be $30-$40 and the only part needed is the harness to plug it in $10 max If you have a 4" tall stereo now, You need a Pocket, $15 max,, The Sony will bolt in to the toyota brackets

or Buy off the internet and do it yourself

Installation is so frickin easy on that car use

It took some effort to remove the old FM/Tape unit. Toyota uses 10mm metric screws. So I bought a metric socket set from Sears to remove the unit. I have ordered the wiring harness from
