Noisy Flex Pipe - okay or must fix

Howdy all,

A friend of mine scraped the underside of her 94 camry some while backing out of a driveway recently. She noticed the exhaust note of her vechicle sounded "louder" her words. I couldn't tell but advised her to take it to some place with a rack to get it checked. The muffler shop she visited said that she had bent the flex pipe connecting to the catalytic converter. The guy used a prybar to move it so that it was no longer vibrating against anything. Apparently it was not torn or cracked ,just bent. He suggests that she fix it for $120 including parts. She would like to know if its something she can do later ( saving for tires at the moment ) or is it a must fix immeadiately situation.

Any help appreciated.

If it is not leaking, and is not severely collapsed, you can wait for a while. But it is not something that you want to run if it is leaking.
