Radio antenna in a '99 Camry?

I have been wondering whether there are two separate antennas in the Camry, one for AM and one for FM. I have problems with AM reception when the car goes over a bump but no such problem in FM. It could be something internal in the radio itself or, if there are two separate antennas, it could be that the connection with the AM portion is intermittent. Any thoughts on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and best. MR

To the best of my knowledge there is only one antenna. It could be loose or dirty where it connects in the radio. Is your antenna in the windshield glass or mounted on a fender? If on a fender then the antenna mount could be loose. AM is more susceptible to noise, you could also have a loose or dirty power connection. HTH, davidj92
