Labor prices do vary wildly. You may not like the place that offer the $50 street corner price. $135 per corner is more like dealer labor cost.

$69 for alignment is in the ball park. The $75 I listed is for the ONE FRONT STRUT MOUNT from rockauto.com.

Autozone lists $90.99 for each of the Gabriel Ultra G56506 (left side) and G56506. You'll get up to $60 off buying the two right now (as low as $121.98 for two with coupon, I don't know the exact rebate amount).

But we pay RETAIL for parts at a shop, not these discount prices, unfortunately. So the LIST prices for a strut and a mount alone would come close to $240. Add a new strut bumper and boot kit you are in the ball park with $270.

Many of us learned to do the work ourselves over time, not only to save money but to make sure the job is done right. Strut replacement should be left to the more experienced because of the healthy spring that can punch holes in a brick wall. I swapped out with Monroe mounts all around and with Gabriel Ultras for about $500 in parts (plus a few hours of my time and a $59 alignment).
