rear banging noise when going over bumps

My car has 170k miles and is the LE 4 door V6 sedan. I have been very disappointed with the ride quality and the noises coming from the rear right when driving down a rough road. I went to dealer to get an idea where the noise was coming from. The dealer said it was the rear strut mounts. Last Sunday, I replaced all four struts, rear strut mounts and rear strut bellows. Wow! the ride quality improved 200%; however, I still had the banging noise. Last night I replaced the two rear sway bar rubber mounts that attach the sway bar to the chassis. Now the noises are quiet and again the ride quailty improved more. My only question is: Do I need to have the car realigned? I just had it aligned two weeks ago when the dealer replaced the steering rack due to a leaking seal. The car seems to track straight and does not pull either way after I replaced the struts.

This knocking noise from the rear also proved to be the rear sway bar mount rubber bushings, on my 94 Camry. I do not believe you should need an alignment front or rear, but watch carefully for any abnormal wear pattern on the tyres. It would start to show in a few thousand kilometres.
