siezed rear brake caliper pin

In the course of changing the rear brake pads on my '93 camry, I have discovered that the caliper is siezed onto the pivoting pin on the tourque plate.

In fact, when I pivot the caliper (with some effort), the pin rotates on the torque plate, rather than the caliper rotating on the pin. Some amount of trying to hammer to caliper off with a screwdiver against the caliper, beside the pin hasn't moved the caliper.

Does anyone have advise as to how I can free up the caliper without damaging it or the tourque plate pin? I have already managed to damage the rubber boot, but have convinced myself that it had to be replaced anyway.

Thanks

Sounds like a nightmare,..dissimilar metals and all that. Heating the whole thing in an oven may free the pin as the alloy has a greater expansion factor or try to twist it out using a vice or vice-grips,..otherwise a second-hand caliper assembly.
