Hello All,
The 2TR-FE is the I-block 4 cyl that Toyota is using the '05+ Tacoma's. I have an '06 with this engine, and I am quite frankly amazed at the little beasts torque curve. I've never seen a naturally aspirated 4 popper pull like this. Now granted, it ain't gonna win many races, or pull many sleds, but none the less it's a keeper in my book.
I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with this motor. It seems that Toyota was using this engine in Asia and Austrailia for some time before selling it in the states. Based on Toyota's reputation for reliability, I would expect this motor to last and last and last, but I would like to hear what the people think who are actually using it. TIA for the input.
