94 Toyota Pickup Driveline or Clutch?

I have a 94 Toyota pickup 4x4 v6 5 speed. When I accelerate or de-accelerate especially at low speeds it seems there is play in the Driveshaft. I hear a slight clunk sound and the truck seems to want to buck. The clutch is original with 116k on it but no slip. I have greased all the fittings which seems to help for a little while then its starts again. I cannot move the Driveshaft by hand also. I'm considering a new clutch even though there is no indication of any clutch problems. I'm thinking maybe it's just worn clutch components putting play in the driveline. Any suggestions is appreciated. Thank You.

Can't say the problem is the same, but I have a 90 4x4 ExtCab v6 5spd and I had a "Slight Clunk" on acceleration and deceleration. Almost sounded like a loose muffler bracket banging.

It was the Center Bearing mounting bracket. (whatever you call the dang thing.) The bracket itself was slightly loose. Several months later, I heard a similar sound and the rubber bushing that holds the bearing was worn out.

Check both of those.

Mine does that too. I read some article on the web about it and it said this was normal for this truck. My driveshaft is fine, but I see quite a bit of slop in the rear diff. I had the shop look at it and they said that the rear diff was within normal tolerances and not warn out. So I guess it's normal.

Thanks guys for the input. The frustrating part is I owned this truck since new and this has just started in the last 2 years. I do most of my own work on my truck but this has me stumped. I guess I'll have to take my chances and visit a repair shop.
