2.7, 4wd, 95,000 miles and a fairly new O2 sensor. The code lights up
under heavy throttle when going up a hill. I have an air/fuel ratio
meter attached to the O2 sensor. The A/F meter does not read lean
when the code lights up. I think I have seen it read extreme rich as
the CEL comes on.
Another thing I have noticed. When coming to a stop the engine will
initially idle at 1000 rpm and then drop down to about 800 after a few
seconds. This truck is new to me so I am not sure if this idle
behavior is normal. Thanks.

Re: 97 Tacoma, OBDII code 0171
accelerates the motor when the engine is cold. This could be sticking.
