There is a black wire with a yellow stripe coming out of my firewall into the engine compartment just above the water by-pass outlet ('88 4Runner -
3VZ-E). I have been doing some work on the motor and although I had the intake manifold off and was in this area, I don't remember disconnecting this fellow. It has a tail coming out of the firewall, a connector, and then another tail that with one of those round 'washer-like' connectors on the end that you slip over a stud or bolt, as in a grounding strap.
Does anyone have a hint where this should be connected?? The wiring diagram lists a BY wire going from the ECU to the ignitor, but this little guy is no where near the ignitor and I would think that wire would go through the wiring harness anyway.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Luther
