Certified Used Toyotas...

Hello all -

I'm shopping for a used Toyota RAV4, 2002-2004, and was interested in their "certified" used vehicle program.

Would anyone who has bought a used, dealer-certified Toyota care to comment on the experience? Is it worth hunting for one of these, vis-a-vis, a "non-certified" vehicle?

Also, if anyone has purchased a used, certified Toyota and had problems, were they resolved satisfactorily under the warranty program?

Thanks,

- John

I'm a used car wholesaler & deal mainly w/ Toyotas. A TCUV will generally have a lot more maintenance done on it, as well as the warranty & paperwork fee. It would be just as cost effective to buy an extended warranty... or bank the money & do regular PMCS. Definitely not worth hunting for a certified Rav.

I purchased a 99 certified Tacoma from a toyota dealer in 03. I thought it was a little pricey at the time, but when I saw what they put into the truck it was worth it.I would do it again. Have never had a bit of trouble with it. Never took it back for anything. In the long run it's the only way to go. Good Luck........
