Electric Car Conversion - Better Way to Save Money and Environment

If the car's not purpose built it take far more to power than gas.

These greenies also forget that elecrtic power has to be generated and
there's a shortage of capacity, so new plants will have to be built.

Then there's the pollution from them!

Hey greenies, why have you declared Hydro-Electric NOT 'green' and
renewable? Wanna push your overpriced wind and solar to become RICH?

That said, ans electric conversion of a standard vehicle, properly
done, can be as effective as a purpose built electric - if you start
with the right vehicle.
Power plants can be more efficient at converting fossil fuel to power
than automotive engines, so they CAN reduce the carbon footprint
somewhat but it is nor necessarily a given.
Off peak charging can reduce the impact on the grid somewhat, but it
IS still an issue.
