Gas Leak from Vacuum Line

Does it make sense that I would have a gas leak from a vacuum line on the manifold?

I knocked one loose when working on my 92 3.0l V6. I then had a gas leak I could not find. I reconnected the vacuum line and the gas leak seem to evaporate (pun intended).

Is one of my cylinders not firing? I just replaced the timing belt, but have not yet set the timing.

What do you mean by a gas leak?

A line from the intake(?) manifold was loose and you smelled gas after the engine stopped?

There is gas in the intake manifold when you stop the engine and there is pressure on the injectors (This is why there is a carbon canister to absord those vapors) that fuel will leak out to the atmosphere.

Or, the vacuum line had gas in it and there may have been gas/air mix coming out of the intake manifold?

Then you have a bad >Does it make sense that I would have a gas leak from a vacuum line on >the manifold?
