Find out what is sticking first of all. Disconnect the throttle cable, see if it or the pedal linkage is sticking. If not, is it the throttle linkage on the TB that is sticking or is the throttle plate sticking inside the TB? You can use a small brush or a rag and some intake cleaner to try and clean the TB, if needed in place. Careful not to get cleaner on the throttle position sensor. Best bet for a more thorough cleaning is to remove the TB from the intake, pull the TPS for safety then clean it and all the internal ports well. Set the TPS back up:

install the TB with a new gasket.

usually sticking is caused by worn throttle shaft, or a mis-adjusted stop screw at the throttle closed position. The 'stick' is likely the throttle plate jamming slightly in the ventury. Adjust the throttle stop screw to open the gap between the throttle plate and the ventury a tiny bit, just enough to stop them jamming as the temp of the carb drops.

=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D Take a look down in the t-body. If it looks like you've got a lot of carbon buildup or varnish, then try cleaning it. No harm, no foul.

Buy some 99 cent carb cleaner at the parts store, get 2 cans.

When you park the truck for the night dowse the t-body and the external linkage down really good.....soak that sucker like you was power washing it. Go to bed. Next morning you may have to hold the pedal down to start it up, but try it without doing it first. Ignore any smoke on start-up.

Do that for about 4 nights and see if that don't fix you up the price of a 2 dollar bill and yer monthly internet fee. Even if the sticking goes away after the first dose, go ahead and clean it all up a couple more times for good measure.

good luck and let us know, ~:~ MarshMonster ~:~
