Husky floor mats - opinions

Anyone own Husky floor mats, the kind with the raised edges to trap snow & water? If so, do they hold up well, especially around that high-wear spot under the heel of you gas pedal foot?

I just got my first 4runner, a 1999 Limited. I thought being from the Northeast, I'd save my original carpeted mats against the snow and slush we see regularly. After seeing some forum discussions, I decided on Husky front liners. I just thought I'd share some info. I ordered them from

for $51.95 plus $7.95 shipping. This seemed like a pretty good price for anyone else deciding on the Husky Liners. I only bought the front because that's the only place I need them, plus the previous owner who was pretty "anal" along with providing the original Toyota carpeted mats that had always been covered by him with other carpets, threw in a brand new extra set of front, rear and cargo carpeted mats, still in the wrappers/boxes. I haven't got any experience to relate though, as I expect to use them starting next month when the snow and slush should begin.

I've had mine for over 100k and they are holding up quite nicely. They hold a lot of snow/mud/dirt etc too. I'll buy another set when and if these wear out.

It's been one of the best purchases I've ever made for my 94. I purchased my set of Huskies back in 1997 or so and they have really saved my carpeting thus far. They still look new with no major wear to report in the high wear spot near the gas pedal.

Two thumbs up! Vic

Two votes - sounds like a winner. Whatever they cost, it beats trying to shampoo the rugs, and then having to smell chemicals for the next 6 months.
