Tacoma 2DW.
At 21,000 miles. I have never seen this on any "car" with this limited mileage. Leaking at the bottom edge of the rubber. They were not leaking at
17,000 miles. Dealer service says this is normal. Is it?Tks, Paul

Do the ball joints have a grease fitting? If you put too much grease in it will leak past the rubber dust boot. If the boot is split it will leak as well. Sometimes as the grease gets warm during usage a very small amount will leak past the boot but it shouldn't be a lot. HTH, davidj92
no grease fittings. And left is not a small amount.
pIs boot ripped or torn? Wipe off what's there and see if it stops. If its just seepage it okay. If it is getting on the brakes then its not okay.
no, it is coming out where the rubber seals into the metal.
pLubing ball jts and tie rod ends when it's very cold can cause problems since the rubber is stiff.
All toyota ball joints are lubricated for life -- you don't lube them any more.
Do you really lube when there are no fittings?
How long is "life" when after 21k miles the grease is leaving?
They should be good for a life of ~100k miles - unless you ford streams and play in the rocks and dirt. On older models you could remove plastic plug andscrew in zerk fitting but not on newer ones. Wipe it off and continue driving.
and after it has all leaked out and been wiped off?
