Toyota eng #

I bought an 80' toyota 4x4 with later model eng and 5spd. I have no idea what year. Anyone know of a site that would ID the eng# and give me info on the trany. Thanx in advance Dave

Thanks for the vin code info.... but.... this truck was put together from later years of eng and trans parts. I have the eng ser # and nothing else. Was hoping to find some site that dealt with these eng # Thanx, Dave

Unable to find anything on this...I was curious too. Try 'Customer Care', but they may tell you 'Since the vehicle has been modified, we cannot provide you with any information.' Don't tell them the engine has been changed! Just kinda, do dee do dee do CANYOUTELLMEWHATTHEENGINENUMBERMEANS do dee do dee doo... ;)

(they wouldn't even discuss swapping a 22RE from a truck to a Celica with me. The rep put me on hold, came back and gave me the 'modified vehicle' brush off!)
