Windshield Wiper Problem

I'm heading to Seattle this evening and I just noticed that my windshield wipers don't work on fast speed. They work perfectly on low speed and intermittent but stop where they are when switched to high speed. I just checked the weather forcast and it says that it's raining in Seattle so I've got to do something about this problem. Any ideas where to start? The motor seems to be working correctly since the wipers work at low speed. Does this sound like a switch problem? What kinda job am I looking at to repair/replace the switch? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Any ideas about the cost of a new switch? TIA Jerry

The most expedient and immediate fix is an application of RainX ... at speeds over 40 mph, the windshield will be virtually self-clearing without the use of wipers.

Just tried putting Rain-X on all three of my cars. It is working great but it creates a haze layer looks not so clean to me especially at sunny day... Any solution?

Once the RainX application has had a chance to dry, you need to make a second pass with some paper towel and windex (or equivalent) to get the haze off. The water repellency will still be there even though the haze is gone. Sometimes, newsprint is better than paper towel ...

I have no haze and each application is good for a couple of months.

When I wax my truck, I wax the windows too, Have been doing so since the

80's when I had a show car, Alot of them did so I followed suit, It works great better then RainX (I think) and when its dry and sunny out a California Duster cleans up the whole car easily.
