71 Westfalia - fuel line and generator wires - HELP!

I am in the process of restoring a 1971 VW Camper. I feel that know enough about this to get me in trouble. I have now fulfilled my expectations, in that regard. The new engine is in; however, I am not sure where the fuel line from the tank to the carb should be routed (I purchased a new steel tube to replace the existing rubber hose that the previous owner installed). Also, I am not sure which posts to attach which wires to the generator ( I have 3 wires without a home). I am desparately in need of a cyber buddy who knows about this stuff, as future trouble is almost a guarantee!. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The steel fuel line goes thru a hole in the "firewall" on the left side of the engine. The big problem here is that the steel tubing can rub on the sharp metal edges and wear thru and leak.

VW "solved" it with a cheesy rubber grommet in the hole. There have been recorded over 732 alternates to the grommet to date. Bulkhead fittings, heavy rubber hose slipped over tubing, copper tube over tubing, duct tape.......

The GEN wiring has a more precise answer:

Ooops. On your Bus, the Regulator is in the engine bay, not under back seat...

Here's the bulkhead fitting solution.
