I can tell you that I have had excellent products and customer service from Aircooled.net. They have almost everything, along with a lot of good technical articles and support.

I also have an great luck with Califirnia Import Parts

I notice lately that they may be cutting back on some items for the oldest Beetles... I had bought a refurb. speedometer through them for my '61 Beetle a couple of years ago, and it's not available any more from them. Perhaps they look at what items are bought on a regular basis and they've made a decision to trim their product line back a bit... They may be shifting to supporting less of the classic restoration customers and more of the younger crowd that wants to SOUP UP some later vintage Beetle they've bought... Likely more money in that market I would think. Still, it would be too bad if they are going that way. Wolfsburg West seems more of a restoration site... but for outside of the 50 states it isn't as good due to nasty shipping costs involved. If shipping costs weren't such a big factor, I'd likely have used them for ALL the items I've bought over the past 4 - 5 years.

I shouldn't have left Wulfsburg West off the list, as they are very good as well.

I do notice that some parts houses seem to cater to the "hot rod" enthusiasts and Baja people. I'm sure there is a big market there. Although I personally think it's a shame to hack up a perfectly good Kafer that they are not now making any more of.

I also find a lot of bug parts on eBay.

How about Real One or something like that ? Iowa883

Mid-America (Real One) has a nice glitzy catalog and prices to go with it. BFY Obsolete and BBT-US are others. Nobody seems to have it all. I haven't bought from Aircooled.net lately because they never respond to my attempts to register (three times) or answer email questions.(twice)
