How to retrofit an Eaton supercharger on a Baja bug

My brother has this dream of putting an Eaton supercharger off a Mercedes on an air cooled VW Baja bug. It's a carburated engine. Does anyone have any experience with a conversion of this type or is this crazy? We need to know the basic concept and pitfalls of such a retrofit.

I had at one time thought very hard about adding an M90 or something of the like (remember, pontiac SSei, and GTP, along with the Thunderbird SC) on my old

82 aircooled Vanagon. So I borrowed an actual charger from a friend who is into the super coupes. Decided there wasn't enough room in my engine bay, and too many non reversible cuts would have to be made...Not sure it would be too hard on a baja sedan though...You'd more than likely want to go to a single holley 4bbl, or maybe a single IDF....

On a side note...I did purchase a good Gladder charger that I did intend to put on my vanagon. It'd had been a 2L G60...and would have rocked (already had cam, exhaust, and VR6 clutch, along with a *wonderful*(?) Webber progressive.)

I miss my van.

Good luck with your SC project...
