It's good to be remembered. Maybe.

I just dropped my '64 off at our local VW guru's shop. I told him he'd worked on my beetles in the past but that he probably didn't remember me. He's going to sort out the electrical gremlins in my beetle. Just as I was about to leave he said "Hey, aren't you the guy who cut the fenders up on that red beetle?" I said "Yeah, that was me. The '63." He said (and laughed as he said it but I could tell he wasn't 100% amused) "Yeah, you f*cked that car _all_ up!" I said "Yeah, but don't worry... I'm not gonna do that to this one." He said "Yeah... I hear you..." I hope he doesn't add on an extra $100 or so to my bill as a "penalty." :-)

So, you are saying you should NOT be punished for your previous transgressions?

I'm saying "I hope he doesn't add on an extra $100 or so to my bill as a "penalty." :-)" I'm aware that some people don't approve of when I decided to modify my property (the '63 Beetle which was transformed into the LCB) so that it would be more enjoyable for me. To me that's like getting upset with someone for putting an in-ground pool in their back yard. "Oh, look at that jerk! He had a big hole dug in his back yard and killed all of that beautiful grass so that he could have a pool." Uh... right. Whatever. :-) "It was great burning the grass up with gasoline before I dug up the ground and chopped through a bunch of tree roots... WITH A SAWSALL!" *evil laugh* Didn't someone just say something about "calm before the storm" in another thread? :-D

Pictures my friend, pictures!

An outdoor pool is great, up here it however needs to be heated..

We are having one of the shittiest summers I can remember, cold, rain, more rain, and then some rain(get the idea? :) ).

Severe floods several places around the country, farmers are suffering rotten crops. Most of the strawberries grown in the southern part of Norway are rotting. On and on.....

If I had the means I would be in Thailand now, probably pissed too!

Life is a bitch, then we all die.

LOL

That car would never have entertained us (or you) as much as it did, if you hadn't "fixed" it :)

Dude, I swear that is practically a direct quote from him. Including the "f-word." :-) Bob's a good guy. A little pricey? Yeah, I think so. Dependable, capable, etc? Definitely.

For those of you who wanted pictures, I've only taken a few so far:

I appreciate your use of the rattle-can resto work as I also have done a ton of that work over the past few decades and it only gets better and better. Keep up the good work... Dennis
