I need some help installing this piece, Is there a top? Does it matter which way the springs go? The old one was so mangled I don't have a reference point for the new one.

I have seen them either way. I prefer the coil section (spring bottom) at the top for some reason. ;-)

I must have missed seeing the late model throwout bearing installed entirely on that site. Looks good for replacing the throwout bearing arm though and other repairs. Good site that I bookmarked for future reference. ;-)
