You should hang out here more then :)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you & Gail too

Jan

P.S. My wife made me a stocking with american muscle cars on it. Better than nothing, and we do have a '70 nova and a '66 Mustang.. in fact I just got a new sticker for the Nova today.

P.S.S. I'm stuck waiting for a bonus to be released from finland next fall, then the plan is to ship Goth here, so I can get back to driving ACVW :)

If shipping from Norway to the States is free. :o) You can ship it to Florida and Jan can drive to my house.

ACTUALLY.... if I have to pay for a full size container to ship Goth... it would have enough spare room for another bug in it, and the shipping price would be the same...

Bill? :)

Will you be shipping out of Gothenborg?

I don't know yet. Apparently there are no direct routes from Finland to Florida. Or anywhere in USA. At first I thought Ro-Ro, but it's kind of hard on a car like that, I think. So a container would work better. Then it doesn't matter how many times it changes ships or where.

Gothenborg is "the" entry/exit harbour for anything small/private like a single container.(For all of Scandinavia as far as I know).

My cousin has used it both to and from the U.s. Lately the same to/from Africa(Angola).

Let me know what you end up with.

I'll ask you for more info when the time comes... probably sometime around or after September.

Interested in driving it from near Helsinki to Gothenburg? LOL Unfortunately you would need to drink lots of beer on the ferry...

Merry Christmas Terri and Gail. Just like you, I've been out of sight just reading posts every few weeks for a while now. I wonder if Jan and Olli are thinking about the new year's eve chat. Would be good to talk to you all there.

Thanks for kind offer Jan, but I really don't have the money right now for a car hobby. They say money does not buy happiness, but if it would put a ACVW in my garage, then I would be happy. I do like the Nova and Mustang also. I like the Novas up through 1972 and like the Mustangs through 1970. After 70 the they started making the Mustang much larger which got away from original concept that made the car popular. Then in 1974 they created the Mustang II which was basically a Pinto that looked a little nicer. Although the Mustang II is the least collectible of the Mustangs, I still like them for some reason. My brother had a 67 Mustang that he bought from a neighbor for $500 that had a 289 ci V8 in it. That motor gave that small and lightweight car some nice get up and go. I never did have a Nova, but did have a the Ford version which was a 73 Maverick with a 3 speed stick on the column and a 250ci 6 cyl engine. I did take my drivers education at my high school in a 1976 Nova in 1977. That car had a 6 cyl and Automatic and was dog slow. I kept pushing the gas for more power, and it kept kicking down to a lower gear which greatly irritated my driving instructor.
